In the first half-century of my life I’ve been a child actor, street performer, student, political intern in Washington D.C., college drop-out, server, manager at the best music club in Chicago, touring musician, entrepreneur, motel proprietor, community organizer and advocate for rural economic development, website developer, and communications manager for a start-up recognized by Bloomberg Business as one of the top 20 social entrepreneurs of 2012. I’m a husband, father, son, brother, and lover of life and all that comes with it. I enjoy writing and reading, cooking (but not cleaning), coaching, hiking, singing & making music with others. I like to please people, but will speak my mind, and value candor. I’m a multi-tasker – sometimes to a fault, and a bit of a procrastinator. A Buddhist monk and astrologer once told me that I am an old soul. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but know that I have always been willing to go where life leads, whether it be following my passion as a musician, following my dreams – moving from Chicago to rural Kansas to start a business and a family, or following my ambition – helping to grow a start-up to a $3M / year business, serving as authorized pulpit supply at Americus United Presbyterian, and now going back to school as an M-Div student at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
I trust where God leads.
